“Find something you’re passionate about

and keep tremendously interested in it.”

~Julia Child

This, to me, is the essence of yoga.

to discover your spirit...

to follow your instinct...

and then, to gather your courage and your nerve and...

follow your heart.

you must persevere.

As a lifelong health and wellness enthusiast, I have over twenty years of experience teaching group and private fitness classes and cooking tasty and nutritious treats.  For the past twelve years I have been teaching various forms of mind body exercise, throughout the Boston area and have taught yoga internationally at Ashiyana Yoga Retreat Centre in Goa, India.  My 200 hour Yoga Alliance Certified Training is attributed to Rolf Gates and, currently, I am studying towards my 500 hour E-RYT training at Prajna Yoga, with Tias and Surya LittleI’ve also studied with many other talented teachers throughout the United States and have, more recently obtained a Prenatal Yoga Certification with Jacci Gruninger through Pranakriya Yoga.  Teaching prenatal and infant-parent yoga has a special place in her heart right now as Sarah is a mother to a beautiful, toddler daughter.

I have a passion for preparing delicious and nourishing food as a means to fuel the body and a way to savor life. I have completed my certification in culinary art and plant-based cuisine through Matthew Kenney Culinary in Los Angeles and continue to pursue cooking classes at the Natural Gourmet Institute for Food & Health in New York City.  As such, I provide basic, health-minded cooking lessons, menu development, dietary counsel, and more to my private clients.

Additionally, am a Consultant for Beautycounter, a California-based company on a mission to provide safer personal care products for everyone.  They accomplish this through the development and distribution of their own safer line of skin and hair care products for the whole family, as well as, through lobbing on Capitol Hill for tighter regulations within the industry.  As a licensed esthetician, and self-described, “tree-hugging-beauty-buff,” I’ve found that Beautycounter’s eco-minded aim appeals to all of these aspects.  I even consider Beautycounter’s products to be a form of “saucha” or self-purity.

Whether demonstrating a pose, developing a menu or prescribing a skin care regimen, I take a holistic approach to my teaching and counsel.  I invite you to work with intention in order to reestablish a mind-body connection, urging you to be guided from within.  I seek to provoke an individual experience and personal plan for uncovering one’s unique needs, deepest desires and fullest potential.
